Bilingual CNC Programmer
Aversan Inc. (www.aversan.com) is a trusted multi-service engineering and electronics manufacturing company. Aversan delivers leading-edge and reliable safety-critical electronics and software systems to the aerospace, defense, and space industries.
We are currently seeking a qualified Bilingual CNC Programmer to work on leading-edge technology products.
Location: Montreal, Quebec Schedule: Onsite
Responsibilities
Develop drawing data for the part to be produced: The CNC programmer begins by examining technical drawings or 3D models of the parts to be manufactured.
Using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-assisted design (CAM) software, he translates this information into comprehensible data for the CNC machine.
Selecting the most suitable tools and setting the correct machining parameters: The programmer selects the appropriate cutting tools for each machining operation.
Configure speed, feed and depth-of-cut parameters to ensure optimum results.
Generate the instruction file, in a language compatible with the control computer: The programmer creates a CNC program using a specific language (e.g. G-code).
This file contains the sequences of operations required to manufacture the part.
Feed the instructions to the machine tool: Once the program has been generated, the programmer transfers it to the CNC machine.
This can be done via a storage medium (such as a USB key) or directly to the machine via a network.
Test the program and check the operation of the CNC machine: Before starting production, the programmer carries out tests to ensure that the program is working properly.
He also monitors the machine during machining to detect any possible problems.
Basic Qualifications
The CNC programmer is responsible for creating the programs that guide CNC machines in the precise manufacture of parts.
They must master design software, understand machining processes and be able to solve technical problems related to programming and machining.
