Job Description: Manufacturing Manager

Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Manager is a key player in ensuring the industrial control of products and programs. This role involves overseeing manufacturing processes, including the "Manufacture" and "Repair & Overall" stages, and working within the Programme Team to maintain and improve these processes. The Manager is responsible for ensuring production meets target costs, capability, and capacity while complying with safety standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements. This role also involves coordinating manufacturing and MRO activities and representing the team in internal and external communications.

Responsibilities:
1. Manage and mitigate industrial risks, ensuring the effectiveness of treatment plans.
2. Participate in program and project organizations.
3. Foster a positive work environment, emphasizing teamwork and continuous improvement.
4. Achieve operational goals, including personnel performance, on-time delivery, and quality standards.
5. Manage Operating and Equipment budgets.
6. Oversee health and safety within the department, adhering to regulatory and company requirements.
7. Participate in manufacturability reviews and process validation of new designs.
8. Lead continuous improvement initiatives in a Lean environment.
9. Analyze process data, identify and resolve production problems, and improve product/process compatibility.
10. Manage product configurations and assist with new product introductions.
11. Validate component assembly against engineering documents/drawings.
12. Juggle multiple priorities to maintain quality, customer service, and profitability.
13. Oversee training activities within the department.
14. Ensure staff have necessary resources and tools for tasks.
15. Lead, coach, and mentor staff, managing performance issues and fostering professional development.
16. Develop budgetary elements related to medium and long-term forecasts and cost reduction plans.
17. Validate manufacturing and support estimates.
18. Manage end-of-production processes in line with program and supply chain requirements.

Job Requirements:
  - Degree/Diploma in Industrial, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  - 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, preferably in electronics or aerospace.
  - Proficiency in Lean/Flow Manufacturing and Process Improvement.
  - Experience with MRP, inventory control, capacity planning, and work order analysis.
  - Skilled in operational and equipment budget monitoring.
  - Knowledge of ISO 9000/2000, AS 9100 standards, and OHSA & HSE regulations.
  - Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and computer skills.
